Abi Jumps For Dreams in Slippers

Abi Ray, East Coast Radio DJ, will be sky diving in slippers on 26th July to show her support for the Reach For A Dream SLIPPER CAMPAIGN

Abi is a long-time supporter of the foundation (RFAD), which this year has been making dreams come true for children suffering with a life-threatening condition for 25 years!

Reach For Your Slippers is the foundation’s annual awareness and fundraising campaign which gets companies, schools and individuals into their slippers for one day. This year, Friday 2nd August. To take part you need to purchase a sticker for R10 and wear both your sticker and slippers on the day. Companies and schools can take them on consignment to sell onto staff and students and RFAD will collect funds raised and any remaining stickers after the day. If you can’t wear your slippers, just wear your sticker!

Abi Ray talks in advance of her big jump!

“I’m absolutely terrified! I always thought skydiving is something I would never do. I have dived with sharks; and done The Big Swing at Moses Mabhida but skydiving has always been a massive NO for me. However, with the amazing work that Reach For A Dream does with our nation’s very sick children, I realised that in order to raise awareness, I needed to do something extraordinary! And here I am, about to do something (crazy) extraordinary! I hope that we can get people into their slippers in support of Reach For A Dream.”

Reach For A Dream would like to thank Durban Sky Dive Centre for sponsoring this sky dive in support of the campaign.
