Big Bandana Bash – The Sunflower Fund KZN – 11th October 2013

The Sunflower Fund KZN is encouraging everyone to come and join in their celebration at their annual Big Bandana Bash at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest on Friday, 11th October in Country Style.

Tickets to this fun event, which takes place on National Bandana Day are R250 each and includes a delicious two course meal, a Sunflower Bandana and the much anticipated “Country Roads” show featuring Lyle Buxton and Marion Loudon. It’s time to don your cowboy hats, boots and spurs, denim jeans and Sunflower Bandanas. Practice your howdy’s and yee ha’s and come and join in the fun for a good cause. A prize will be awarded to the best dressed “cowgirl” and “cowboy”. An auction and a raffle will form part of the evening so prizes and vouchers of any value would be greatly appreciated.

To sponsor a prize or to book a table of six, eight, ten or twelve or an individual seat, please contact Janine le Roux on 082 336 1112 or email

To show solidarity for children and young adults with leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders please wear your Sunflower Bandana on Saturday, 12th October. They cost R25 each and can be purchased from any Pick n Pay store or your local Round Table. All money raised will be used to pay for the tissue typing of potential bone marrow stem cell donors for inclusion on the South African Bone Marrow Registry. The more donors on the Registry the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding their 1:100 000 donor match.

For more information on The Big Bandana Bash or The Sunflower Fund and how to become a bone marrow stem cell donor please phone toll free 0800 12 10 82 or visit
