Interview with Mi casa

We sat down with Mi Casa and asked them a few questions:

What’s your favourite thing about a Durban crowd?
Durban is definitely a different vibe – very diverse, very passionate people. We just love it!

Best place to eat out in Durbs?
Definitely fans of Afros Chicken. It’s hit the spot after our performances.

One cool thing we don’t know about each of you?
Hmmm. Maybe for Dr Duda it’s that he secretly loves photography, especially of nature. Mo-T? It’s very hard for him not have a bowl of oats Every Single Day :/ and J’Something dreams daily about catching a plane to explore all things food in Japan. Random but cool little facts 😉

Who is the serious one?

Your feelings about coming back to Durban at the end of this month?
We’re excited. For real, we’ve performed at Music at the lake every year and to see thousands of our fans continuously coming to our shows without fail just reminds of why we’ll keep coming back here to share our music LIVE – it’s all love.

Anything exciting we can look forward to at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake show?
We’ve refined our performance quite a bit, really focusing on giving our fans an experience that will leave with something memorable AND we have a new song called “TOCA” which we’ll performing as well.

Which is your favourite Mi Casa song. And why?
These Streets. It’s solidified what we stood for from the get go, beautiful timeless music that carries a ton load of positivity.

Most exciting show you’ve ever performed?
Definitely a show we had in Angola a few years ago that had over 60 000 people singing along to our music word for word. Priceless
