Set within a spectacular 900-hectare nature reserve in Howick, the WESSA Trail Run offers an immersive trail experience through one of the regionβs most diverse and scenic landscapes. The route moves through rolling grasslands, dense thickets, forest sections, and lush valley bushveld, showcasing the natural beauty of the uMngeni Valley at every turn.

Runners can expect a dynamic course that blends flowing singletrack with more rugged terrain, including open plateaus, steady climbs, valley floor running, and winding paths that keep each kilometre engaging. Along the way, the route reveals sweeping views, dramatic cliffside sections, cascading waterfalls, and distant glimpses of Albert Falls.
