The Parlotones

The Parlotones are coming to Ballito!

Award-winning, best-selling, crowd-pleasing, platinum status artists! That’s what KZN North Coast locals can expect to see and hear on Sunday the 6th of October at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito – as The Parlotones take to the stage, along with The Voice SA finalist, FREDDY-L, to bring the beats to Ballito once again.

It’s a picnic party at Sugar Rush, and you’re all invited! Join your family and friends for another afternoon of great music, drinks, food, and laughter in one of Ballito’s most inviting outdoor venues. Sugar Rush Park will once again come alive with the sounds of some of South Africa’s most talented artists. And as the final show for 2019, the 4th instalment of the Marriott Ballito Beats is set to be a real crowd pleaser.

Kahn Morbee, Neil Pauw and brothers Glen and Paul Hodgson make up the Parlotones, who came together in 1998 to “make music”. Little did they know that they would go on to become one of South Africa’s biggest, more proudest exports, finding major success both in their home country as well as across international markets.

The band has toured internationally since 2007. They have regularly visited the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and North America, as well as playing shows in South America, Canada, Australia, Japan and Russia. They have toured with Coldplay, Starsailor, Ash, The Wombats, Snow Patrol and Blue October. And now here they are, in Ballito, for the second time, and Ballito fans will be ready and waiting for another stellar afternoon of world-class entertainment.

“As our final show for the year, we’re really keen to give Ballito something to look forward to, and we know an act as large and as captivating as The Parlotones will provide the perfect entertainment, and the perfect finale for 2019,” says series director Stu Berry. “We look forward to some vibrant sing-along favourites and the typically infectious stage performance from Kahn and the guys. The enthusiastic Ballito crowd has proven time and time again that they’re always up for great quality live entertainment, and we’re proud to bring it to them.”
