Rugby legend, Stefan Terblanche has won the fourth evening of Gateway’s Celebrity Chef Showdown where he competed with former Miss South Africa, Tatum Keshwar on Wednesday, 11 September.

“This new title is actually a little worrying for me because my wife is now going to expect me to cook on a regular basis,” says Terblanche.

The competition took place at Cape Town Fish Market Gateway. “After last night I have a new found respect for all the chefs that work in restaurants. The kitchen a is pressured environment,” says Terblanche.

Terblanche’s menu comprised of; grilled calamari tubes with robata sauce for starters; salmon teppanyaki with fried rice for the main course and Mississippi mud pie for dessert.

“It was a great evening! I had so much fun and I really enjoyed interacting with fellow ‘Durbanites’ as well as visitors from other provinces.”

Visitors to Gateway are invited to make a booking at Sevruga in order to enjoy the final night of entertainment and healthy competition between well known local celebrities, Jailoshini Naidoo and John van de Ruit. Times are 18h30 for 19h00 and R120 per person for a set menu which includes; starter, main and dessert.
