REVIEW: The Grange Guest House
Situated in Upper Durban North, The Grange was one of the first BnBs in Durban. Being a house with a history, no two rooms are alike, with each offering their unique features and with a sea view.
Three of us girls from Durbanite were recently treated to a stay at The Grange Guest House.
Before checking in, we stopped at the shops to grab a few essentials needed for a girl’s night; snacks for dinner, wine and face masks!
Upon arrival at The Grange, we were greeted by the property’s lovely dog. Being huge dog lovers ourselves, we were beyond thrilled that this place loved animals.
We checked in and were given keys to our room which had x2 double beds and an en-suite bathroom with a balcony.
Of course, the first thing we did was check out the pool where we enjoyed some snacks and caught up with each other – as girls do on girlfriend getaways 😉
So what do girls really get up to at Girlfriend’s Getaways? Well… for us it was just an evening of putting on face masks, watching movies and stuffing our faces with delicious snacks.
Sometimes you need to just get away from everything and have a night in with your girlfriends, and The Grange Guest House was the ideal location for that. It’s also made to feel extremely homely and cosy, as if you were right at home. We loved it!
In the morning, we were served a scrumptious breakfast tailor made to suit our preferences.
Our host, Trisha was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay and had the best advice on what to do and where to go.
We highly recommend The Grange Guest House for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing accommodation.
The Grange Guest House is 4 star rated and AA Quality Approved. With only a 10 minute drive to Umhlanga and Gateway Theatre of Shopping or uShaka Marine World, it’s no wonder that it’s the perfectly situated place for your next girlfriend’s destination, or even for couples and families.
