SUPERCHOP at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre

The multi – award winning Neon Anthems are back with their most ambitious show to date. Written by and starring Jacobus Van Heerden (recently seen as Lord Farquaad in KickstArt’s Shrek) and directed by Liam Magner, Superchop is a satirical comedy which parodies the famous, and those desperate to be famous. Playing on the reality competition format it features a range of unforgettable characters, interspersed with hilarious video content and high energy song and dance numbers. SUPERCHOP will be performed at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from the 2nd – 13 March.

SUPERCHOP first previewed at the 2013 Musho! festival where it received rave reviews before going on to win the judges vote award for best show. Since then the show has been re – invented to include a more ambitious set, outrageously beautiful dancers, and choreography by the one and only David Gouldie.  

SUPERCHOP promises to take audiences on a whirl wind comedy roller coaster ride, of biblical proportions. Book now or forever hold your peace.   

Starring Jacobus van Heerden, SUPERCHOP features Boniwe Majwede, Nadine Oberholzer, Amber Jean Hogg and Kendyll Samantha Plu’g. Directed by Liam Magner. Choreography by David Gouldie. Lighting and set by Michael Broderick and Bryan Hiles. Video editing and audio visuals by Mark Edwards.

  1. Comment below to stand a chance of winning one of three double general access tickets to SUPERCHOP at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on Wednesday 2 March.
  2. Competition opens on 18 February 2016 and closes at midday on 28 February 2016, South African Standard Time.
  3. Winner/s will be randomly drawn on 28 February 2016. Durbanite reserves the right to change the draw date.
  4. Winner/s will be notified via email and are required to confirm receipt within 24 hour of notification or redraw will take place.
  5. Tickets are valid for Wednesday the 2 March only.
  6. Subject to these competition rules, Durbanite’s determination of the winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  7. The prizes are non-transferable for cash. If you are the winner, a copy of your South African identity document or passport may be required as proof that you are in fact the winner whose name was drawn.
  8. Employees, agents of or consultants to Durbanite and, their immediate family members (parents, children, brothers and sisters), spouse(s), life partners, business partners and associates are excluded from this competition.

  1. Looks like such fun – OUTRAGEOUS, EXTRAVAGANT AND HILARIOUS !!!! I saw a glimpse of my husband in one of his characters, would be great to laugh together!
