WIN TICKETS TO SINDER-FELLA AN ADULT PANTO

Published

on

Durbanite and Suncoast are giving away 3 Double Tickets for the show on the 15th November 2014! Simply tell us below why you want to watch the show and  you could be the winner! Winners will be randomly chosen on Friday the 14th November.

The Durban tradition of adult panto continues to flourish. 2014 sees Suncoast host the event for the 4th time and nobody is going to be disappointed with the brand new twist in the tale of a well-loved story.  The time has come for a return to double entendre and innuendo (the Italian for suppository); to the way the adult panto was in times gone by.

It is an accepted fact that Cinderella is the world’s most favourite pantomime. There have been several incarnations of the adult version, Sinderella. But don’t panic …..there is a new version, filled with clever quips to keep you on the edge of your seat …as well as just a few below the belt jokes.

Harking back to the original format of clever, rather than in your face, your favourite festive season entertainers have come up with a new plot.

Gone is Cinderella – and Sinderella – as well as Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. Enter Sinder-Fella, Princess Charming and the Fairy Godfather.

The team is back with some new additions: Anthony Stonier (whose legs are a World Heritage site) and Clinton Small (last year’s surfer dude) play the Ugly Sisters; Thomie Holtzhausen (seen in a great variety of roles in past pantos) is the Fairy Godfather; and the gorgeous Katy Moore (last year’s Juliet) as Princess Pandora Hullett of Ballito. Joining them for the first time are RowinMunsamy as the Princess’ loyal supporter, Button, and Mpilo “Straw” Nzimanade as Sinder-Fella.

And …the whole story takes place right here in Durbs. Local is totally lekka!!!

Gosh, last time I went to the Adult Pantomime at Suncoast was about 4 years ago, and what a laugh it was. We watched Alice in Wonderland, what a suberb cast and feature. I am dying to take my mom who has never seen an adult pantomime, let alone one of the Fabulous Suncoast Casino’s. Excited to see this one!!

Their 2019 single “Life Without Fantasies” reached the top of the South African viral charts amassing millions of streams in 2021 during the lockdown. The band connected with tens of thousands of fans online which led to their first sold out headline tour. They have continued to cement themselves in the industry here, having toured the country a number of times over the past few years and return in February 2024 to share the stage with Milky Chance in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Sean Koch is one of SA’s most-loved indie-folk artists who brings a mixed bag of African and western, influence alongside messages of home, a connection to nature, the ocean and the people around him; to his storytelling, feel-good music. While rooted in his flowing-folk style, his music is diverse. From dance infused songs like ‘Lift You Up’ the standout single from his collection (including the Double MZK & G DOM remix) to the dreamier songs like ‘Feel the Energy’ that carry deeper messages of connection to the natural world and the people that surround us.
