The Ultimate 80’s party experience at Sky with Trevor Williams

Published

on

Flashback to the 80’s with a night of retro music, dinner and dancing at Durban’s iconic Sky Venue.

Get ready to be whisked back in time through the hits of yester year with Durban’s favourite old skool DJ, Trevor Williams.

Audiences will revel in nostalgia as we embrace the hit tracks and dance the night away on the 31st floor of the Southern Sun Maharani Tower.

It is bound to take you on a journey through time with retro fashion, dinner, dance and of course music that will present an evening packed with unlimited fun, entertainment and excitement.

Smash hits likely to thrill crowds include: bands like Duran Duran, The Police and Dire Straits, while on the pop synth scene we witnessed The Human League, Culture Club, Thompson Twins, Depeche Mode and many more. On the other side of the Atlantic we had the more rocky sounds of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, Blondie and Talking Heads. On the pop front we had Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel from Genesis topping the charts while alternative music was making its mark with bands such as REM, The Cure and Violent Femmes.

“We are thrilled at the success of our 80’s evenings at Sky, however this event will be the final 80’s party experience at Sky. We would like to offer our guests more variety and always ensure that they walk away having had a fantastic experience with us,” said Samantha Croft, GM Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani Complex.

Guests can look forward to welcome drinks and a scrumptious dinner menu followed by an entertaining evening of 80’s classics.

“We believe there is a critical need for entertainment that appeals to the crowd which frequented the former Raffles nightclub in Durban. Sky is the ideal location that they connect with and events such as these and those to come illustrate a sense of belonging.”

The music of the 80s is indeed an era that is an all-time favourite so join the party for the very last time to make this a bash to remember. Don’t forget to don your favourite 80s gear.

Date: Saturday, 25th of July 2015

Cost: R380 per person including dinner

The fun begins at 7pm.
