Gateway’s Celebrity Chef Showdown 2015

Gateway shoppers are in for an unforgettable experience during September and October when ten of South Africa’s top celebrities take part in the third Gateway Celebrity Chef Showdown at six of Gateway’s most popular restaurants.
This year’s celebrity lineup includes, popular South African soccer player and model Ryan Botha; winner of Masterchef South Africa season 3, Roxi Wardman; Cell C Shark’s captain, Marco Wentzel; East Coast Radio breakfast show host, Darren Maule; Radio personality, writer and comic sensation Beauty Ramapelepele played by Ben Voss; senior anchor with eNCA, Andrew Barnes; East Coast Radio presenter, Zaba Simbine; popular television and stage personality Jailoshini Naidoo who will play Aunty Rumba; South African actor, presenter and emcee, Jason Greer and field presenter for Carte Blanche, John Webb.

Gateway’s Celebrity Chef Showdown Dates and Venues
Visitors to Gateway are invited to make bookings to attend any of the six evenings in order to enjoy a night of good food, entertainment and healthy competition.
On each of the restaurant’s evenings, the meals prepared by the celebrities will be in line with the restaurants normal menu offering. Times are 18h30 for 19h00 at R180 per person for a set menu which includes; a starter, main and dessert.
• 16 September – Beauty Ramapelepele vs. Aunty Rumba: RJ’s Steakhouse
• 23 September – Zaba Simbine vs. Roxi Wardman: Ebb and Flow
• 30 September – Darren Maule vs. Jason Greer: Circus Circus
• 7 October – Ryan Botha vs. Marco Wentzel: Mo-zam-bik
• 14 October – Andrew Barnes vs. John Webb: Galaxy Grill

All winning celebs will take part in a final evening which will be held on 21 October at Beluga.

Each celebrity that competes will select a local charity of their choice at the start of the campaign. 10% of the income generated through these events will be donated to the winning celebrity’s charity of choice.

Your Next Blu Blood Experience Awaits

BUMP & GRIND – Back By Popular Demand

Back by popular demand, Durban comedy favourites Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert-McIlroy return to the Northlands Bowling Club, in Durban North for audiences who missed the show the first time around.
