This August the Mercury Wine Week graces Greyville Racecourse with hundreds of the world’s best Reds, Whites, Rose’s and Sparkling Wines. The fine wine feast was born at Greyville 38 years ago. This year marks the first return to the venue, just one on a list of new twists on offer.
Connoisseurs are invited to an intimate sampling experience at the Wine Tasting Theatre, where great estates present their best to a setting of 30 persons only. One show ticket includes free entrance, but limited seats means quick thinking. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis.
Tradeswomen and men are invited to beat the rush with the Special Trade Preview. Set for the Wednesday prior to opening, winemakers and trade representatives will be waiting to entertain industry movers on a one-on-one basis.
Hungry tummies haven’t been forgotten. Mediterranean delights will be on sale. Restaurant Eat Greek brings Mercury Wine Week visitors tasty tapas pop-up style, with the option to enjoy wine purchases on site, no corkage required.
The Mercury Wine Week experience is rounded off with another benefit of the brand new venue – Greyville Racecourse’sabundance of free and secure parking.
Entrance is R120 per person on pre-booked tickets via iTickets from 25 July, or R140 at the door on the night. Strictly no U18’s.
WIN WIN WIN!!!
We have x2 double tickets to give away. To enter, leave us a comment below telling us what your favourite wine is.
Competition closes on Monday 14 August.

Favourites are by estate wineries eg. Vrede en Lust, Morgenster, Meinert and my favourites are Cabernet and Merlot… Summer is definitely Chardonnay or a lovely dry Rose like Oranje Rivier or Hill & Dale…
