The Mercury Wine Week is KZN’s largest and longest standing wine show. In its 36^th year, this sumptuous event has wine lovers from across the province thirsty for the illustrious array of Cape grapes. Hundreds of wines from the vineyards of the West will be exhibited under one roof and tasted by East Coast wine lovers and learners. Durbanite has 2 x double tickets to giveaway. Unlimited wine tasting each evening is coupled with a brand new feature, the Grindrod Bank Wine Theatre. This theatre will host three dedicated tastings each night, hosted by individual wine estates. Visitors are invited to pause for 20 minutes to learn about the estate and tantalise their taste buds with their unique aromas and flavours.

Finger foods and cheeses by Fairview and Checkers provide the perfect nibbles to accompany the fine wine. For those who consider ‘wine o’clock’ a sacred affair, a special R160 ticket will offer a satisfying two-night pass, valid for Wednesday and Thursday nights only. For wine clubs or groups of 10 people or more, a 20% discount applies.

Competition opens on 22 July 2014 and closes at midday on 19 August 2014, South African Standard Time.
Winner/s will be randomly drawn on 19 August 2014. Durbanite reserves the right to change the draw date.
Winner/s will be notified via email and are required to confirm receipt within 24 hour of notification or redraw will take place.
Winner/s tickets will need to be collected from Durbanite representative.
Subject to these competition rules, Durbanite’s determination of the winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The prizes are non-transferable for cash. If you are the winner, a copy of your South African identity document or passport may be required as proof that you are in fact the winner whose name was drawn.
Employees, agents of or consultants to Durbanite and, their immediate family members (parents, children, brothers and sisters), spouse(s), life partners, business partners and associates are excluded from this competition.
Failure to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions will result in immediate forfeiture of the prize.

I love wine tastings and wine pairings. I only drink wine, so I am constantly trying out different selections to select the finest for my collection. Being here will definitely enlighten me on this new found hobby of mine.

Why would I like to win….. Hello its wine!!! Wine is something that can be enjoyed by EVERYONE, and it is certainly enjoyed by me… sometimes a little too much. I would love to win this and would love to have wine flu the next day!! Pleeeeease 🙂

I just started acquiring the taste of wine and I would luv to spend time with my husband over a great glass of wine and to enjoy this awesome event, we never won anything so it will be fantastic 😀

I have my first Cape Town Wine tasting holiday coming up in September that im so excited about, and to go to the Murcury Wine Week would be so great to teach me more about the different types of wines, so i dont look too much like a novice when im in the mother city!!

We look forward to the Mercury Wine Week and have been attending for the last four years. We almost always leave having bought far too much wine, along with rosy cheeks and a big fat smile. No other wine show in KZN does it better!

I am just an extroverted young lady who loves and enjoys attending all sorts of events to get to know what is hip and happening within SA’s entertainment industry. A ticket to the show would give me more knowledge about what the different kinds of wine i drink most of the time when out, and i may just find my favourite – as all wine to me tastes good!

I am currently holding a bunch of grapes hostage… they are locked in my fridge where no one can find them… unless you know where I live.

Give me the tickets and all the grapes will be set free. Give them to someone else and lets just say I’ll squash the life out of them…

Do the right thing and save a bunch of grapes today!
