My Bloody Valentine a first for Durban – Blood to be shed at Giba Gorge

Published

on

Whether you are a zombie fan, anti-valentine or really just fancy dressing up as Jason or Mike Myers (let’s face it, they kind of qualify for zombie status), Zombie Run aims to show you how to have the time of your life….even as you run for it.

This Valentine’s Day, Zombie Run want you to celebrate with your dark side and take part in the Bloody Valentine event. And never let it be said you took your date to an over-priced and boring dinner. We hear the brains on offer are top shelf too!

In true zombie run style, this event will take runners through a 5km course and over light obstacles. Most importantly, runners will face lonely stretches where it is rumoured Freddy himself lies in wait. For the quirky couple, why not show your best interpretation of love that stretches beyond the grave? Moms and Dads, why not create your own family challenge? This is certainly way better than the obligatory roses and chocolates.

By using the popular Zombie theme, Zombie Run South Africa creates a running narrative on a racecourse designed to simulate the Apocalypse, where participants either run through the course track as Zombies, or living Zombie prey. Participants must run to safety, while dodging an imaginatively harrowing barrage of apocalyptic carnage.

There will be a small market, live entertainment and so much more one BLOODY fine evening!

This event is in aid of CROW and will take place at 18:00 on 14 February 2015. Proceeds will go towards fund-raising for wildlife rehabilitation centre.

Prizes on offer for best dressed (runners AND zombies can take part), as well as spot prizes just for showing up.

Ticket sale options start at R150pp and include individual runner or zombie. For online ticket purchases, please look for the event on www.quicket.co.za
