This family orientated market established in 1998 is open from 6am – 10.30am every Saturday and is situated on the corner of Kassier and Alvestone Roads, Assagay (opposite the new Hillcrest Hospital).
The market features a wide variety of products from sweet treats to fresh produce (both fruit and veg.), cheeses, hormone free meat, free range chicken, duck, eggs, freshly baked breads as well as a traditional craft market; there is certainly something for everyone including yummy breakfasts and hot beverages – if you prefer a cold one do not fear, the market has welcomed the Standeaven Brewery amongst their midst to help quench your thirst.
Two dates to mark on the calendar are the 24th of September (Heritage Day Market) and 16th of December (Christmas Market). On both these days the market will be run as a full day market (note to self: good spot for last minute Christmas shopping!). Bring a basket, take a drive and fill your morning with healthy foods, yummy treats, friends and family.
