Bath and beauty brand, Rain is excited to announce that they are expanding into KwaZulu-Natal and bringing to an end a “dry season”. The brand offers a wide range of body care, bathroom accessories and gift sets. All products are hand carved and crafted making each one original. The ingredients used in the making of Rain products are specially selected for their potent antioxidant qualities and skin-nourishing values. Rain is now open at Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

In Africa, rain represents life. The arrival of the first rains after the long dry season is celebrated with much thanksgiving. When the rains come the rivers fill, the grass grows, the herds fatten and prosperity blooms. So profound is Africa’s gratitude for rain, that the Sotho people welcome visitors with the expression Khotso, Pula, NalaĀ (Peace, Rain, Abundance) as part of their traditional greeting. Rain has built their reputation by producing quality products that are handmade using only the highest quality natural ingredients.

Rain’s roots lie in the unique manufacturing process of their products as this is the vehicle that Rain uses to create employment opportunities for the underprivileged. The core ingredients include hydrating oils such as; Mongongo Nut Oil, Marula Oil, Kalahari Melon, Mafura Butter and Baobab Oil all combined to create a feast of vitamin rich goodness bursting with omega oils and essential fatty acids.

Rain is located at shop number: F238 at Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

    Peace,rain, abundance

The feeling of soft rain on my skin and the smell of rain on the earth takes me to a happy place; where I feel one with the earth and happy to be alive to appreciate natures fabulous offerings… These feelings that happen on rare occasions in real life in Durban makes me anticipate the next burst of freshness. My first magical experience of the Rain store was in the western cape; which took me back to the exact feeling I get when the heavens open up. Am so stoked that I can walk into that same feeling now right on my doorstep #rainluv

Win Tickets to Milky Chance in Durban!

Published

on

Milky Chance recently announced their long-awaited return to South Africa with their ā€œLiving In A Hazeā€ tour in February 2024 which will see them perform in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. The German Duo are excited to confirm that both Neon Dreams and Sean Koch will join them as support acts on the line-up for their shows in Cape Town (15 February) and Johannesburg (17 February), and Neon Dreams will also join Milky Chance in Durban (18 February) as support act.

Canadian duo Neon Dreams are no strangers to the South African music scene. Their 2019 single ā€œLife Without Fantasiesā€ reached the top of the South African viral charts amassing millions of streams in 2021 during the lockdown. The band connected with tens of thousands of fans online which led to their first sold out headline tour. They have continued to cement themselves in the industry here, having toured the country a number of times over the past few years and return in February 2024 to share the stage with Milky Chance in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Sean Koch is one of SAā€™s most-loved indie-folk artists who brings a mixed bag of African and western, influence alongside messages of home, a connection to nature, the ocean and the people around him; to his storytelling, feel-good music. While rooted in his flowing-folk style, his music is diverse. From dance infused songs like ā€˜Lift You Upā€™ the standout single from his collection (including the Double MZK & G DOM remix) to the dreamier songs like ā€˜Feel the Energyā€™ that carry deeper messages of connection to the natural world and the people that surround us. There is something for everyone in Seanā€™s catalogue.
