OMG!!! I could really do with something so fun and festive! Went to the July as a young teenager and got to model some funky hats as the model didn’t pitch. Haven’t been back yet as an adult and would love to get into the mood this year by winning this awesome prize. Mwah x

I would like to win because I love Roger Goode (just saw him again on Top Billing a few weeks ago), I’m taking a holiday to Durban, Johannesburg and Mozambique in July, and it’s my birthday on the day of the draw. I’d also take great Instagram moments for my blog, SFSouthAfrica.tumblr.com

Durban July is the trendiest fashion spectacle, it brings out ones inner fashionista and you are able to express yourself on a garment. I guess the piece is your oyster and you can do whatever with it.

Matriculating in the class of 2013, I remember leaving space free on my study timetable to catch the Ultimix@6 as well as let off some steam off all the exam stress! I could only say it was his show that kept me sane with all those exams on the table! I would love to win to finally catch the person who’s show got me through my matric year, especially live in action! š Would be pretty spectacular and definitely a night to remember with all the beautiful ladies gracing the catwalk!

Myself and my partner are starting a fashion business (Loxion Style Expo) that will unleash raw talent from the townships. We have seen how talented young people out there are and we are going to expose them to the fashion world and help them pursue their dreams and that might just be their ticket out of poverty. Going to the fashion show would mean looking at the incredible fashion of course but also networking with some of the best designers in the country… and DJ Fresh will be there, I just love the Ultixim – Kent & Euphonik rock.

I love fashion and I haven’t ever had the opportunity to glam up for the Durban July. But, everyone loves to party hard and I’d love to have chance to win the tickets, especially after writing law exams. It would be a great memory for the July holidays. And Durban sure knows how to party in style!

I am an ordinary woman, a single mother of four, I work very hard throughout the year doing my very best to provide for my children. I dress in Black almost everyday as its my work uniform. Attending the Durban July would an excuse to feel like a star, dress in what we “ordinary” women only see on red carpet. A chance to meet people, mingle, unwind, but mostly feel and look beautiful inside and out and lastly enjoy myself.

I am not certain how you expect me to pay for tickets, currently I reside in a shoe box in the middle of the road, I must fight my 50 brothers and sisters to the death each night for food.
If you pick me I promise to court a wealthy cougar and live lavishly for 24hrs and leave her wanting.

Well judging from the clothing on the runway, I’d say that South African fashion has reached international standards (not too African and not too local). From my point of view we’ve infested our minds with garment designs which at times portrays that we trying too hard to such an extent that we forget that simplicity brings out the best designs. This is what causes South African fashion not to sell but nevertheless I’m loving what I’m seeing..Simply, Subtle and Elegant fashion to our doorstep.

Hi there, thanx for the comment. Just FYI these tickets are for a fashion show at Gateway the evening of the 4th July (the day BEFORE the July itself, so they wouldn’t count for entry to the July, only the event at Gateway)

I am a creative looking for local inspiration in not just our countries clothing style but also our countries environments… being able to attend such a event would be the ideal location to gain insight into our local culture when it comes to fashion and people. Winning tickets would be another step that would guide and motivate me as a independent women hoping to burst into the design industry to be a prime example of women empowerment. Please give me another stepping stone towards my future with the opportunity to be inspired and motivated…
