Madame Zingara – A World of its Own

Durbanite was invited to attend one of the most talked about events of the year, Madame Zingara!

Having attended this phenomenal show two times before, I knew what to expect. However, this time round, it surpassed all my expectations. I was absolutely blown away by the performance, the service as well as the general atmosphere.

My partner and I dressed up in our smart attire, and made our way to Suncoast Casino. Upon arrival, there were friendly hosts who made sure to tell us that we could relax in the decorated outside area, and take advantage of the drinks on sale. After our drinks were finished, we walked inside, checked our names off the guest list and received complimentary drinks while we waited around in the inside area. The inside area was beautifully decorated with eccentric items, beautiful couches, pianos and the works. This gave us an opportunity to snap pictures away, taking in the glorious view.

It wasn’t long before they announced the doors were opening, and we were dedicated a waiter (dressed as a pirate) who showed us the way to our two-seater table in the golden circle. We were offered drinks, and our meal orders were taken. Within seconds, our drinks had arrived along with our pre-starters of soup and salad. Our table had also been topped with delicious bread rolls which we used for our soup.

The first part the show was about to start, with a short announcement so that everyone could make their way to their seats. The show itself left us in awe, not to mention the entertaining hosts who had us in stitches with their witty jokes.

The show was divided into three parts, with each course being served during the break. I opted for the chocolate chilli steak, while my partner chose to have a lamb shank. Both were absolutely delicious and left us feeling satisfied and full. The service itself from the waiters and waitresses was fantastic. We both observed how hard they work to ensure that everyone gets their food quickly before the next show starts. They also exuded an incredible working vibe, smiling all the time, enjoying their jobs which in turn made us feel happy.

For the dessert, we were offered a trio of ice cream, malva pudding and mousse which was absolutely divine!
I don’t want to give away too many details about the show, but if you’re into performances that make your jaw drop, then you have to witness the magic that is Madame Zingara!
