Holiday Fun For Kids – A Cultural Extravaganza!

Scratching your head looking for something for your kids to do these coming holidays? Like most tired parents you are probably seeking something different for your children to get involved in which will not only stimulate and educate them but give yourselves a little break too! Well the Dante Alighieri Society is offering the perfect opportunity for just that through their ‘Dante Holiday School’ which runs for 5 days from 27th June – 1st July from 7.30am -1pm.

Located at The Italian Club on Fairway, Durban North, the Holiday School offers a range of fun, engaging and exhilarating cultural and sporting activities suitable for any child aged 4-12 years. Activities include baking, theatre, sports day-like challenges, art and language lessons to name just a few.

At just R50 per day, this is a fantastic way to offer something different to the usual shopping mall, movies or beach options…plus you parents get the morning off!

The Dante Alighieri Society is a Non-profit Italian worldwide organization that promotes the study of cultures and languages around the world. It was formed in Italy in July 1889 however its focus is not limited to Italian culture. The society is dedicated to promoting all forms and nationalities of culture and focusses on a variety of language course ranging from Spanish to Russian and Chinese. In addition, the society organises a range of public events from opera evenings to talent shows as well as soccer tournaments and plenty of activities for children.
