The Mr Price Pro has long been a highlight for many Durbanites. Awesome surfing combined with epic festivities, what more could you want?
This year the Mr Price Pro is going all out with live online video streaming. Catch all the action from anywhere in the world including your couch – should you be feeling a bit lazy.
Surfing!
South Africa’s premier surfing event the ASP Prime Mr Price Pro Ballito has once again attracted the crème of international professional surfing, with eight of the Top 32 surfers in the world confirming their entries into the event with a R2,2 Million prize purse.
In its five years in KwaDukuza on the KwaZulu Natal North Coast, the Mr Price Pro Ballito (July 1 – 7, 2013) has witnessed some of the best surf ever seen on this pristine coastline. It’s no wonder then, that it attracts an elite caliber of surfer one expects to see competing at this year’s event.
South African surfing superstar and former Mr Price Pro Champion Jordy Smith (2010) heads the star studded line-up and is expected to draw record crowds as the firm local favourite in Ballito.
World No. 19 and the only other South African surfer currently competing on the elite WCT Travis Logie (Proud Durbanite), will add might to the South African camp. A former runner up at the Mr Price Pro Ballito, Logie has gained an international reputation for taking down some of the toughest heats in pro surfing history.

The Mr Price Pro once again doesn’t disappoint with a great line up: Amawrongturn, Awgust Rush, DJ Tira, Mafikizolo, Big Nuz, DJ Milkshake, Wonderboom, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Shadow Club, aKing, ISO, Prime Circle, Tailor, Gangs of Ballet, Lonehill Estate, Crazy White Boy, iScream & the Chocolate Stix, Pascal & Pearce and Dino Bravo!

Durban comedy favourites Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert-McIlroy return to Talloula with their new musical comedy – BUMP & GRIND, a high-energy musical sketch comedy that delivers a riotous mix of song, dance, quick-fire character comedy and heart. Created under the direction and choreography of Daisy Spencer, the show has already delighted audiences this festive season with its trademark MacBob mayhem and polish.
Described by Billy Suter as “a sparkly cracker of song, dance and off-the-wall humour,” BUMP & GRIND is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud theatrical experience. The show tumbles through a helter-skelter parade of characters — from fan favourites Bruce and Charmaine, as Elvis impersonators, pensioners Beatrice and Max, and super-sage Dr Veejay, to bold new creations including AI androids, Latin dance sensations and an Irish preacher with stand-up ambitions.
The music includes numbers from Talking Heads, Lady Gaga, Elvis, The Beatles, Whitney Houston and a climactic medley of ’80s chart hits.
