Let the hunt begin at uShaka this Easter!

Published

on

uShaka Marine World celebrates 10 years this April, and on Saturday, April 19th & on Sunday, April 20th, the Easter Bunny will be hopping, bopping and stowing away chocolate treasures at uShaka Marine World as part of the Beacon’s Africa’s largest Easter egg hunt, which is going to be even more fun and exciting this year, due to a whole new and improved course that families can join in and follow.

As part of uShaka’s tenth birthday, this year’s mega egg hunt will celebrate in the sweetest way possible – with 100 000 Beacon marshmallow eggs (or tokens) hidden in nooks and crannies across the continent’s largest marine theme park. Each child entering the park, will receive a goodie bag with a Easter treasure map featuring a number of exciting clues which draw attention to our many animals housed at the park –  so not only will you collect Easter eggs, but you will be able to see all our amazing creatures at the same time, allowing the whole family to enjoy the expedition. Special clue – remember to pack that cossie and towel – Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Not only can the kiddies claim their tasty treats by participating in the hunt, but there are also fun activities planned in Wet ‘n Wild, Sea World and uShaka Kids World, where the little ones can participate in fun activities to increase their chocolate loot.

On both days, the hunt begins bright and early at 7am and ends with a special Easter Dolphin Show at 8.30am starring the uShaka Marine World’s Ocean Warrior Mascots Delia the Dolphin, Slippy the Seal, Rusty the Penguin and Raggy the Shark as well as the Easter Bunny and uShaka’s world famous dolphins. Remember that tickets – at R110 per person – are limited. Purchase yours in advance at uShaka Marine World ticketing or Computicket.

Kids Book Review: Oi Dog

Published

on

This is a series that is a must have for toddlers and early readers.
The words are fairly easy to read, the rhyming gives it a good flow and the repetition of the words will help your little reader remember them as they continue reading the story.

“Not only are the illustrations bright and funny, but it gave us a lot of giggles on the silliness of the story. Oi Frog and Oi Cat are already firm favourites in our household and we are looking forward to expanding our collection with the other titles in the series.

Frog is not happy with the rules stating that Frogs sit on logs and Dogs sit on Frogs! He is switching it up! Frog is going to have to figure out what he is going to sit on if Dogs now sit on Logs… a favourite was Cheetahs sit on Fajitas… the picture was super cute and the expressions on the animals just keep the giggles going!”
