Published

on

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of our mothers in society. It’s the month of super-spoiling your mom… so, to be different, why not spoil her with some great MOMents by treating her to a beautiful, funny or romantic movie? The perfect place to do this of course, is at your nearest Ster-Kinekor cinema!

Get ready for a month filled with ‘Great MOMents at their Greatest’ with your mom and Ster-Kinekor throughout the merry month of May!  When you watch any movie at your favourite cinema during May, simply SMS the keyword `MOM’, your ticket reference number and your name to 33007, to be in with a chance to win some great prizes! Six Nokia Lumia 625 smartphones with portable chargers are up for grabs, as well as exclusive movie merchandise and five mother-and-daughter spa vouchers valued at R2 800 each!

Ster-Kinekor is also giving you another opportunity to show your appreciation for your mom. Giant-sized ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ Hallmark cards will be installed at select cinemas, where you can physically write a personal message to your mom. The cards can be found at Ster-Kinekor Sandton, Cresta, Cradlestone and Greenstone in Johannesburg; The Grove and Brooklyn in Pretoria; Cavendish, Cape Gate and Bayside in Cape Town; and at Gateway in Durban.

Before the film starts, remember to stock up on the special Mother’s Day Double-Take Combo because no cinema experience is complete without the prerequisite popcorn and cool drink! For another  chance to win one of five spa day experiences for two, also valued at R2 800, all you have to do is SMS the keyword ‘DOUBLE’ and the flavour of your drink to 32671. All the competitions start on Friday, 02 May and end on 29 May. Visit www.sterkinekor.com for the competition details and T&Cs.

However, if you are unable to get to one of these Ster-Kinekor cinemas, why not post a special message to your mom on Ster-Kinekor’s Facebook page, telling her just how much you appreciate everything that she does for you? Every week, one message will be selected as the best, and its author will win two tickets to treat mom to one of May’s special movies. With so many chances to win and spoil your mom this May, what are you waiting for?

Some of the great movies to share with your mom during May include: The Other Woman (releases on 01 May), Heaven is For Real (09 May), and Walk of Shameand Grace of Monaco (23 May). One Chance and Endless Love are two other ‘mom-friendly’ films that are currently on circuit.
