Footage has emerged, seemingly showing The Stig breaking into the Lotus F1 Team factory, hacking the computer system and redirecting the Lotus F1 Team car from the Austrian Grand Prix to Top Gear Festival Durban.

Details of what The Stig is planning for the car once it reaches the festival are scarce, but it is confirmed that visitors will be able to see The Stig and his recently acquired F1 car performing something spectacular in the People’s Park area during the two-day festival on 21/22 June.

The unique format of the Top Gear Festival in Durban provides fans with a full day of high-octane entertainment. And for the 2014 edition, the third part of a trilogy, the team – and The Stig in his new toy – are raising the bar once again

Excitement for fans continues with flat-out thrills on the custom-built street circuit and spectacular arena show staged in the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium with Top Gear UK presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.

Tens of thousands of petrolheads are expected to descend on Durban on the weekend of the 21-22 June.  Whilst some ticket types for particular sessions are now sold out a variety of ticket types are still available and tickets start from just R260.
