I would love to be at this show. What an adventure I embarked upon when my boyfriend invited me to meet him on holiday. We were booked in a 5 star bungalow in the Eastern Cape. When I freshened up and walked out for dinner, he had the enter room covered with roses and candles and he got down on one knee and asked me 🙂

He took me out for a lovely supper at a 5 star restaurant and there was load shedding which made the evening romantic as there were candles everywhere and the food was still incredible! He then took me for a lovely evening walk and took me to a view point overlooking the ocean and then he went down on his knee and proposed.. and naturally– I said YES 🙂

Im entering on behalf of my sister who recently got engaged:
It was a hot Christmas day in Durbs, we had all eaten & my sisters boyfriend was pacing up & down…eventually we all got back to the table where he stood up and thanked everyone for a lovely Christmas lunch, then confessed his love for my sister & got down on one knee & proposed in front of the whole family -(now that takes guts) it was such a beautiful moment!! My sister had no idea he was popping the question which resulted in tears from all the ladies at the table (happy tears of course) Here’s wishing them a happy future together as they plan the rest of their lives together!!

This would be so great! It was our anniversary when he took me to the Oyster Box for breakfast as the beginning of a beautiful day but just before we could enter he popped the question! And I said Yes!

It was the Saturday before my birthday and we were having a get together with some of our friends. He was a bit on edge the entire day, but didn’t think much of it. Some of the guest mentioned that it was getting late and they had to leave when my now fiance stood up and switched of the music. I got such a fright with the music going off and thought he was mad at the guest when he started his AMAZING speech. There was not a dry eye in the house when he proposed. I was so happy I went into his arms and whispered YES!!!!

I would love to win tickets for my sister as she is newly engaged. 🙂 She was proposed to after a very elaborate day! She was flown in a helicopter, landed at the Rain Game Farm (Ballito) and then had an intimate picnic setting that was made just for them, he then handed her a box which had a pebble in it…and he asked her to be his penguin (penguins are partners for life). So sweet!!!

It’s a sad and happy story…. My fiance’ was planning to go to my mothers house on the Thursday to ask them, if he could marry me. Unfortunately both my mom and step dad landed in hospital before he could get there, both unrelated issues. My mom got very ill, very fast. The one day she was able to come out of reduced coma and off the ventilator, I told her about his plans, she smiled with excitement and nodded yes! Two days later she passed suddenly. The following Thursday, we has her funeral. The Friday 26th September, my family and friends planned a birthday party for me as my birthday was the 29th September, after a good few hours into the night, he stopped the music, got onto the mic and popped the question, in front of my family and friends – was the most beautiful moment.

A poem I wrote to describe one of the most beautiful days of my life!!! He surprised me with the proposal at the enchanted botanical gardens and it was all disguised as a photo shoot lol I thought I was in store for a day of fun poses and crazy smiles and now if I remember clearly it was all that and more I still have the gigantic glitter packed proposal board that his son held up so excitedly it read: Will you marry my dad aunty Cody???? So here goes….
He lead me to the secret garden the garden of his heart he placed me in a place where memories aren’t lost a place of new beginnings a place of enchanted things he placed me in a place that possesses living waters in the form of rivers and springs, of all the places in the world the gardens were the best!!! Its a place where seeds are sewn flowers blossom and birds can build a nest… On that beautiful day we were 3 love birds decked in white and blue he found a shiny trinket and said to me I love you my heart was over whelmed with a joy that I cannot describe his son showing me a plackard asking me to be his bride his big little smile my fiancées cheer the best day this year I truly cannot forget the space that God created where nature and passion met I stood in awe when first I saw the flowers surrounding us my heart bloomed with love I thought of all the magical things taking place in the heavens above you went on bended knee and looked into my eyes you spoke into my heart with certainty and without lies I saw the grass beneath you- above you saw the skies mr sun shon down upon us as if he also knew about the suprise I know it might be OTT for those that don’t know the depth but our love is like a secret garden a special place on earth our love is like a lily in spring we could not fathom its worth our love was sent from heaven his plant so well fashioned now I understand that Christs love for us is truly a love unimagined!!! To tell him how I feel would take the entire day the truth is I am overwhelmed with the introduction of a special new title I get to give him: MY HANDSOME FIAAAAANNNNCEE!!!! I love you with all the letters in all the words in all the books in all the world!!! Both he and his adorable son made the day so amazing I pray that our love continues to grow as we stay rooted in the lord through every season that we would remember the gift of renewal and the preciousness of time the value of unity and a peace that is divine he truly is a love that persued me in and out of time!!! I’ll love him for as long as flowers grow my beloved!!!

We got engaged two weeks ago! My now fiance and I went for what was supposed to be ‘breakfast’ at the beach. He insisted we go for a walk along the water before breakfast. So we took a long walk away from the Umhlanga Promenade and took a seat on the sand. After a few minutes of chatting and doodling in the sand, he asked how my finger was (being clumsy, I had bumped it before we left the house) and asked if I would be able to put a ring on it. He then told me to stand up, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I instantly said yes and burst into tears. I will never forget the smile on his face as he asked me.

I am entering as the man who proposed, my Fiance has already written her story here so I’m just going to say it again. We had a family breakfast on valentines day with all the extra’s and I proposed with Roses and chocolates, and the whole room/house was done up with flowers and hearts and our kids made it extra special, had them dressed up as little valentines waiters .
