Float Away with Lube and Tube 2017

For all of those Lube and Tube virgins still amongst us, here’s what you can expect:

1) Pull off the road into an untouched paradise where you can set up your camp amongst a few hundred other like-minded enthusiasts.
2) Tube along a mountain river through rugged bush and local farmland while partying like you’ve never partied before.
3) Expect live music – with bands including Angus, Cat-Like Thieves and Gus Brown – beneath the African stars!

LUBE AND TUBE ONLINE ENTRY FEE – R450
Includes – Campsite, entry into the tubing, dinner and limited drinks on Saturday night, excellent live local bands and legendry Djs, A much coveted Lube and Tube cap.

LUBE AND TUBE GATE ENTRY FEE – R500
Includes – Campsite, entry into the tubing, dinner and limited drinks on Saturday night, excellent live local bands and legendry Djs.

ARRIVALS
Tubing will start at 12 noon on Saturday 28 January. The main party will be after that, BUT you are welcome to come and pitch your tent any time from Friday afternoon AT NO EXTRA COST.

There’s always a chilled and festive vibe on the Friday evening where our Dj’s will be playing surrounded by lit bonfires – perfect for braaing and dancing!

ADDITIONAL INFO

Tubes will not be provided at the event, please bring your own floatation device.
Please provide your own drinks for Friday night and for the tubing, PLEASE NO GLASS IN THE RIVER.
Although this event is supported by a full medical response team, as well as official life guards on the river, we advise that you bring a life jacket and any other safety equipment that you may require.
We have provided an awesome campsite with toilets and a shower, so no need to drive anywhere after the party!

Directions:
From Joburg – Take the N3 for Durban, after the Tugela toll plaza take the Bergville Ladysmith off ramp, turn left for Ladysmith drive 3km take the right turn towards Winterton on the R600 drive about 20km and as you cross over the Tugela we are on the left.

From Durban – Take the N3 for Joburg, after shell ultra city take the Bergville Colenso off ramp, turn left for Bergville Winterton. Drive 20km to Winterton, go straight through Winterton towards Bergville 1km out of Winterton take the R600 to your right towards Ladysmith, drive 20km and just before you cross the Tugela we are on the right.

The highly anticipated Champions Season bursts into action on Saturday, 11 April at Hollywoodbets Greyville, setting the tone for South Africa’s premier racing calendar with a vibrant day of top-class racing, entertainment, and family-friendly fun — all completely FREE to attend.

Gates open at 10:00am, inviting racegoers, families, and first-time visitors alike to experience the thrill of the sport in an accessible and festive environment.

At the heart of the day’s racing programme is the Race Coast Sales Big Cap, a R5 million feature that continues to grow in stature following its successful debut and is fast establishing itself as one of the most innovative contests in South African racing.

Run over 1400m, the Big Cap brings together an elite mix of top-class horses and influential slot holders, where strategy and strength play an equally decisive role. The 2025 debut delivered a high-quality and competitive spectacle, showcasing the tactical depth of the slot race concept and setting a strong benchmark for the future.
