Jeremy Loops LIVE at Marriott Beats Music Series

Published

on

The 2018 edition of the Marriott Ballito Beats Music Series is set to be a serious hit with Ballito locals and KZN fans alike, as Jeremy Loops takes to the stage as part of his global Waves Tour.

Last year’s inaugural Marriott Ballito Beats Music Series brought fun and entertainment to an already community-based lifestyle in Ballito. People came together in the open fields of Sugar Rush Park for the ultimate family entertainment; enjoying time together, savouring great food and beverages, taking advantage of a fully supervised kiddies zone, and of course, listening to some of the best musical talent South Africa has to offer.

This year, the beats keep on coming, as 2018’s stellar line-up will have fans booking their spot on the grassy lawns well in advance. Jeremy Loops, Gangs of Ballet, Mango Groove and Matthew Mole are all set to bring their musical magic to the crowds.

Ballito Beats Series Director Stu Berry of Impi Concept Events is excited about what 2018 has to offer North Coast fans.
“We’re all about great quality entertainment, and are really excited to get the year started with a real South African favourite, Jeremy Loops. We’ve always been a big supporter of his music and talent, and given that tickets are selling out fast, so have the fans.”

Jeremy Loops arrived on South Africa’s music scene with an unexpected force, debuting at No. 1 on iTunes in 2014 with his very first album, Trading Change. Apart from topping charts across the country, Loops very quickly developed a cult following in his homeland. The album would go gold in South Africa, be crowned Album of the Year by iTunes SA, and win multiple awards including MTV Africa’s Best Alternative Album 2015. An environmentalist and avid traveller, Loops’ natural urge to explore unknown physical spaces extended to his music too, and soon he prioritised touring Europe and North America to test how universal his music really is.

Relentless touring from early 2014 to the end of 2016 laid the foundation for the next level. Waves, the first single from his latest untitled album, is a woozy summer song, with Loops’ signature guitar licks, vocal turns and melodies.

2018 will see him head off on a global tour that takes him from South Africa, to Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. But not before he spends a good couple of hours jamming, clapping and looping his favourite songs for fans in Ballito.

Sally Anderson, Head of Marketing at Marriott is thrilled to be a part of this music series again. “We are very excited to start another year of the Marriott Ballito Beats Music Series, as it becomes an integral part of the local community calendar for North Coast locals.”

The Jeremy Loops concert will take place on the evening of Friday the 9th of March.
Gates open at 16h30, with supporting act Gus Brown Band performing at 18hoo and Jeremy Loops on stage from 19h15.
Tickets range from R180 – R199 for adults, R110 for children between 6 and 12, and R30 for children under 6.
