SPLASHY FEN MUSIC FESTIVAL TURNS 30

Published

on

In celebration of their 30th birthday next Easter, Splashy Fen have launched their exciting new interactive website! Fans can log on to www.splashyfen.co.za and take a look at what event organisers are calling a more mature, more accessible and user-friendly website.

Splashy Fen has come a long way in 30 years,” says Stu Berry, Festival Director. “And we’re really excited to be a part of such a momentous occasion. From its unexpected debut success in 1990 with just over a thousand locals showing their support on the banks of the Splashy Fen farm, to an 8 000 sold-out festival in 2018… there really is so much to celebrate. That’s why we felt now was a great time to relaunch our website. It’s brighter, bolder and more of a reflection of what Splashy Fen now stands for.”

The new website provides all the information fans need to book tickets, make camping arrangements, explore what is on offer at the festival and find out which of their favourite artists will be performing at the 30th edition. It also includes archives of old artwork and imagery from past festivals; with pictures from the last 3 years making up the bulk of the new look and feel – as a tribute to the fans who help create, support and share the Splashy Fen magic. So, if you’re a Splashy Fenner, look out for your happy smiley face on the new website.

“We believe so strongly that Splashy is everybody’s festival. The fans are what make it great,” says Berry. “So much so, that we’re offering a 10% discount on our 2019 tickets to the first 100 adult and U18 tickets bought from our new website – it’s our gift to our fans for our 30th birthday.”

That’s 30 years of supporting local South African music; 30 years of providing a platform for craft, art and food vendors to grow their small businesses; 30 years of offering fans a fun, safe, inclusive home away from home in one of the most beautiful parts of our country; 30 years of giving back to the local community, and 30 years of creating and sharing a unique Splashy Fen ethos – unmatched by any other event in South Africa. 30 years of good times!

South Africa’s longest running music festival will take place over the traditional Easter weekend from Thursday the 18th of April to Monday the 22nd of April 2019. Tickets are limited to 8 000 and available from the new look www.splashyfen.co.za .
