ARNO CARSTENS & ARD MATTHEWS SET TO ROCK BALLITO THIS WEEKEND

Published

on

Ballito fans… get set to welcome Arno Carstens and Ard Matthews back to the neighbourhood for fun, sun and festivities for the Marriott Ballito Beats concert this Sunday at Sugar Rush Park, Ballito.

The two legendary South African rock voices will bring their on-stage antics and award-winning music once again, and will be joined by local musician Miles Jacoby.

LOCAL MUSIC
Jacoby started playing music from as early as 6 years of age. After some years in Cape Town, sharing the stage with various major South African acts, he took his music abroad to British Columbia, Canada. As part of a musical pilgrimage he lived in Nashville, Tennessee for a while where he was able to perform at the famous Bluebird Cafe. Now back in Durban, with the recent launch of his new album, 8-Track, Miles continues to give credence to where it all started.

“We love giving opportunities to local artists to perform at local events for the local fans,” says Stu Berry, Ballito Beats Series Director. “We’ve had many instances where up-and-coming artists have started on our stages and gone on to much bigger things. We’re really looking forward to having Miles Jacoby kick-off another great afternoon of entertainment for the show. Coupled with our star-studded main acts, fans are in for a treat. With a combined musical expertise that spans 35 years, Ard and Arno are known worldwide for their unique voices and roguishly fun stage presence, and we can’t wait to welcome them back to Ballito.”

TICKETS
Tickets are limited to only 2 000 and are available via webtickets.co.za. General access costs R150, kids between 8-12 years of age cost R80 and Kids U8 are R20.

Gates open at 1pm and ticket holders are welcome to bring camping chairs and picnic blankets to make the most of the beautiful setting at Sugar Rush Park. Food and beverages can be bought on site, alternatively, picnic baskets are allowed, but no beverages will be allowed onto site.
