THE GLOBE @ SUNCOAST FIRST PERFORMANCE

Published

on

Krishna Kumar Kunnath, better known as KK, has been mesmerising audiences around the world with his powerful and soulful voice for over two decades and fans of this top Indian playback singer, will have the chance to watch him for the first in South Africa live in concert this December.

Whether it’s Tadap Tadap, Zara Sa, Awarapan Banjarapan and Tu Hi Meri Shab, there will be firm favourites for everyone when KK takes to the stage for the first time in South Africa on December 8 at Suncoast in Durban and December 9 at The Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg.

KK – Live in Concert is brought to you by Blu Blood and Showtime Promotions, both synonymous for bringing world-class entertainment to South Africa.

“We are excited to be bringing out one of Bollywood’s all-time favourite playback singers.  This is KK’s first performance in South Africa and it’s worth mentioning that this will be the first show in Suncoast’s new events venue, The Globe” says MD of Blu Blood, Osman Osman.

“KK’s visit coincides with the completion of our developments at Suncoast,” says Mike Dowsley Executive Director at Suncoast, “so it is fitting to have an artist of KK’s stature to celebrate the launch of The Globe to our patrons and we look forward to hosting many more incredible events in our new venue.”

“I am very excited to be coming to South Africa to perform for the first time,” exclaims KK.  “Many of my fellow performers have boasted about the beauty of South Africa and its people, which I am looking forward to experiencing.”  On what fans can expect, KK says: “I will be doing a mix of my songs, from the more upbeat songs to crooning the audience with some of my more romantic numbers.  I have a great show in store.”

KK considers himself extremely fortunate to have made singing his career.  A family man, KK is recluse in his private life, preferring to spend time with his wife and two children.  Which is why it is a real treat to have him travel to South Africa.

Tickets for both shows are available through Computicket from R280 per person.
