There is great excitement building for the Beauty Pageant that will see the crowning of the Miss Umhlanga 2015. Well known top entertainer and reigning World Dance Champion Kevin Ellis has been hard at work rounding up the beautiful hopefuls for the big day on Wednesday 16th December at 12pm at Main Beach Umhlanga Rocks. This competition forms part of the annual Umhlanga Rocks Summer Festival.
Ladies and gents from all age groups can take part. From as young as 4 years old to Moms and Dads too. It is a delightful get together of beauty, ocean, beach, sun and families.
There is no entry fee and locals and holiday makers can register at 11am at the millennial stage on the beach. Entrants can arrive in beach wear of choice, ranging from swimming gear to shorts and sarongs.
‘We are all thrilled with the level of interest, and quality of entrants this year. We have Sone Botha who previously won the Miss Umhlanga title and went on to beat 66 other contestants to get runner up in Model of the World which was held in China recently. Sone will be handing over her crown. We welcome everyone to come along and enter or watch the stunning show’ said Kevin Ellis who has a panel of Award Winning judges lined up and will be choreographing the colourful event.
