One bad day… can change everything

Grab your girlfriends, mom and sisters and diarise Wednesday, 20 August, from 19:00, for this month’s Ster-Kinekor Girlfriends’ Getaway treat! A special pre-screening of the comedy, Tammy, will put everything into perspective with regards to any ‘bad day’ you’ve ever had!

Enjoy a fun-filled night out as you and your girlfriends are pampered and entertained with ‘Girlfriends’ Getaway’.

Tammy (Melissa McCarthy) is having a bad day. She’s wrecked her wreck of a car, managed to get herself fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint. The cherry on the top is thinking she will find comfort and sympathy in the arms of her loving husband, only to get home to find her husband getting comfortable with their neighbour in her own house.

Tammy decides it’s time to take her boom box and get away from the small-town syndrome. However, the reality is that she is broke and without wheels. Even worse news is that her grandma, Pearl (Susan Sarandon), with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls, is her only option to gap it. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind but, out on the open road with grandma riding shot gun, may be just what Tammy needs.

Back by popular demand, Durban comedy favourites Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert-McIlroy return to the Northlands Bowling Club, in Durban North for audiences who missed the show the first time around.

Expect old favourite characters and a soundtrack packed with thumping hits as McIlroy and Bobbert once again deliver their trademark blend of side-splitting humour, larger-than-life personalities, and musical mayhem!
