Brought to you by the owners of Willoughby & Co in Johannesburg, Fish & Wine Co will follow Willoughby’s simple ethos, which is a signature approach to seafood and the way in which it is prepared, using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Each dish at Fish & Wine Co is designed with simplicity and elegance. These fresh ingredients will make the restaurant’s menu not only flavoursome and mouth-watering, but will showcase all the natural flavours of the fish, whether it be a simple tuna fillet or your favourite type of sushi.

Fish and Wine Co will also be your one-stop-shop for fresh fish and oysters, as the restaurant will include an artisanal deli whereby customers can purchase the best and freshest cuts of fish.
Whether you want 500 grams of deboned salmon or 10 oysters to celebrate a special occasion, the deli will be able to assist you with what’s seasonal of course. Brett Whitehouse, owner of Fish & Wine Co, is looking forward to providing locals and visitors alike with exceptional, tantalising seafood dishes, made with only the best ingredients. He says, “Despite being a seaside location, I think Umhlanga and the greater Durban area is in desperate need of a simple and upscale seafood restaurant and artisanal seafood deli. Having spent many years in the industry, particularly with seafood as it is my passion, I have learned how important it is to serve fish and seafood in their simplest forms. Seafood shouldn’t be dripping with artificial sauces and mayonnaise etc. Simple, elegant and natural ingredients must enhance the seafood’s natural flavours.”
